The FELT presence of immediate experience with The Ungoogleable Michaelangelo and UnTerry McCanny

Join us this week to read a wonderful conversation with Terence McKenna.

“Uh, it’s actually UnTerry McCanny and The Ungoogleable Michaelangelo.”

We spoke about art, philosophy, puppetry, teaching about hallucinogens humorously, the influence of Terence McKenna in his life, McKenna Monday at Psychedelic Assembly’s library in Manhattan (P.S. They have pizza), the importance of philosophy in the psychedelic space, and what UnTerry McCanny would ask Terence if they could communicate. We also discussed the possibility of bringing new puppets to life!

We found that Michaelangelo is currently accepting donations for a William Burroughs puppet! (It’s just a secret between us, but I must say that the impersonation is immaculate!)

Psychedelia: A quest for the unknown

Recently, something has become a martyr in my head, and I think many people have this same question.

Why do people keep on using psychedelics?

Could it be that what we seek in psychedelic experiences represents the epitome of human existence as we try to satisfy our rooted curiosity about the unknown and could be the reasoning behind why people continuously explore the realms of consciousness and, consequently, psychedelics?

Novel concept of Entheogenic Synergy

Following up on last week’s article, we clear up what we coined as Entheogenic Synergy, which bifurcates into Recreational Synergy and Therapeutic Synergy, concepts intended to raise awareness of anthropological values, mu beliefs, and elements susceptible to changing our biochemistry, microbiota, neurochemistry, and the way we think, such as music, hearing other experiences, expectations, and the journey to our destination, as well as conversations we have about the experience, being present to a new environment and language, learning to adapt, changing our neuroplasticity and thermoregulation are explored as equally as the psychedelic experience, and even further, be included in the psychedelic experience in the future research.

Remembering Roland Griffiths

The heartbreaking news of Dr.Roland Griffiths’s passing was given to the world yesterday, October 17th. Griffiths was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer at 76.

Despite his diagnosis to be terminal, he remained optimistic about existence. In an interview with the New York Times, he reminded us that we all are mortal quoting. “We all know that we’re terminal.”

Dr.Griffiths was an illustrious psychopharmacology professor at Johns Hopkins and spent decades studying the mechanism of mood-altering drugs. During his research, he published over 400 scientific papers on opiates and cocaine, sedatives and alcohol, and nicotine and caffeine.
